What is the International Computer Driving License (ICDL)?

ICDL is an internationally recognized qualification that enables people to certify their competence in essential computer skills & knowledge. 

ICDL programmes are for anyone who wishes to become fully competent in the use of a computer and common applications. Computer skills enable people of all ages to understand and use technology to improve their personal and professional lives. ICDL modules provide a practical programme of up-to-date skills and knowledge areas which are validated by a test.

The ability to use a computer effectively is an essential life skill. Computer skills enable people of all ages to understand and use technology to improve their personal and professional lives. A computer skills certification can help the holder’s professional life by making them more attractive to employers, while increasing their ability to communicate and access information and services in their personal life.

How do candidates get the Skills Log Book?

With the registration you will get a Candidate Registration Number which will be yours for life.  It does not expire.

What tests will candidates  have to take?

ICDL has an automated online assessment.  Candidates will complete the online assessment for each module.  The pass rate is 75%.

What happens when tests are passed?

When a candidate has passed the tests, the results will be sent through to the  ECDL or ICDL Foundation that will then issue the Certificate, as a proof of completion and having the skills needed for the Modules written.

 

All the classes will be Facilitator based and in small groups to make it more efficient and help each individual to work on his/her own passe to  ensure that each one will be ready for the online assessment.
